There’s a crispness to “Icedancer” that matches the winter air outside. Released via Feinstoff, Kay Chi and Sharlese’s new EP blends neo-Italo aesthetics with a distinctly modern punch.
The title track is built around an irresistible hook. It anchors the composition while charging claps and rolling toms provide constant propulsion. The mix feels expansive and powerful, yet never overloaded. Every element has space to breathe, allowing the groove to glide rather than stomp.
Freudenthal and Saeuer inject a 90s piano house spirit into their remix, increasing tempo and intensity without losing musicality. Their ability to slide between House, Indie Dance and Italo feels instinctive. The rolling groove and euphoric piano lines culminate in a drop that lingers long after it hits.
“Makes Me Feel Special” closes the journey in darker territory. Its synth work carries a cinematic quality, echoing the moody tension associated with Stranger Things, and giving the EP a shadowed, atmospheric finale.
