INTERVIEW: R.MISSING presents Placelessness and Saturnining

Actualizado: 9 ene 2022

R.Missing returns, and they do it with their latest work: ‘Placelessness and Saturnining’ with versions of @pilotpriest and @thefield_axel - Available January 7, 2022

R.Missing leaves nothing behind and confirms the mission that electronic music has always had: to play with the present and move towards the unknown, beyond entertainment. The result is a work as experimental as it is intense and addictive, which takes over oneself like sweet poison, while progressively transporting us, as few producers with a certain fluidity are willing to do. We do not know what the future holds, but we do know that this record is testimony to a turbulent and uncertain present, which will remain in our memory forever. For records like this, we can continue to fight for a better future.

We have had the pleasure of speaking with R.Missing and this has been the result.

Hi guys, first of all, I wanted to thank you for interviewing you :)

Thank you.

In 2021 you have had many activities. Can you explain how this increase in activity came about?

Not a change in activities. Perhaps an increase in activities that are seeable.

The title of his album, "Placelessness and Saturnining" has plenty of room for interpretation. Is the EP a compilation of these reflections, through music, or is it a more philosophical or abstract title?

The title isn't abstract but rather exact and literal.

What is the perspective of your music?

Aerial, loitering on that one vanishing line.

What is the most significant thing about the album for you, personally?

The nowness and the thenness.

Can you give us any insight into what you have coming up over the next year or so? Any releases you can share details on, or any performances?

Refashioning and wayfaring.
