REVIEW: Luca Draccar serves up a searing new EP, ‘Leclipse’, on Lush Point

Based in Berlin but with Italian roots, Draccar has been making waves with dark and exotic techno sounds that have found their way into the bags of DJs like Maceo Plex, Richie Hawtin and Carl Craig. He loves creating lush soundscapes that mix crisp textures with more intricate designs and warm atmospheres designed for warehouse implementation. His label Lush Point is a home for this work and the latter is another fine statement.

“Leclipse” is a serious work, carefully cared for, that lends itself to beginning and not returning to reality until it is finished: the headphones are like the oxygen canister that allows us to immerse ourselves to the bottom of this great sound rotation, this cosmic one. orbit, and be there in a state of hypnotic fascination.

Draccar that class of artists who do not stitch without a thread, who know what they are doing at all times and leave nothing to the whim of chance, although sometimes their decisions may seem unusual or out of place. And if, in addition, after a consecration in the underground, we see him doing his thing with Leclipse, it leaves us even more surprised.

Draccar's command of language is total, and here they have once again delved into the past to be inspired by another verse, more forceful and melancholic, but no less evocative. All in all, we can safely say that this Leclipse is on the verge of excellence.
