A new project to run alongside his existing LATEMORNING imprint, the label will explore a wealth of wider sounds and influences spanning beyond solely electronic music, with the debut single offering the first glimpse of what’s to come on 14th July 2023.

Rising from the small island of Ischia in the Gulf of Naples to become one of the most hotly-tipped ‘new names’ in house music, Italian DJ/producer Blackchild is an artist firmly on the ascent with no signs of slowing. A regular member of the Solid Grooves family, while releasing material via The Martinez Brothers’ Cuttin Headz, Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations and Paco Osuna’s Mindshake, not to mention his own LATEMORNING imprint, his career to date has seen the talent flourish while still only being in his early 20s. Building on this success, his next project will welcome the second label to his own portfolio as a label boss, launching NAIMA this summer.
Expanding on the existing sonics found within his material, NAIMA will bring together electronic and non-electronic worlds, offering more musical productions that still work for the club. Opening things in style, the first single welcomes an exciting collaboration between the NAIMA boss and world-renowned Jazz singer Walter Ricci as the two artists unveil the rich and vibrant sonics of the label’s debut release, ‘Head On My Shoulder’, on 14th July 2023.

A warm and scintillating late-night trip through funk-fulled bass licks, vibrant guitar riffs, bright keys, riveting brass melodies and slick, rolling percussion, ‘Put Your Head On My Shoulders’ is a melodically rich and absorbing house production bathed in stylish Jazz touches from start to finish. Guided by Ricci’s hooky and soulful vocals, with the top line inspired by some of the genres ‘most famous melodies sung by the greatest crooners of the past’, the track builds and evolves across seven minutes of bliss for a debut release set to turn heads and create big moments all summer and beyond.
