INTERVIEW: Andre Rech

Brazilian DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalist André Rech comes to Logia Records with “Astro Levitate”, a powerful EP in which he takes advantage of the solidity of a two-decade career in his artistic approach.

The EP features remixes by our own Cali Burton, currently based in Mexico, and Panko, a friend of the house, currently traveling between the Aztec country, Argentina and Brazil.

We have had the pleasure of interviewing André Rech and this has been the result.

1. Can you tell us a bit about your experience? Where are you from and how did you get

into music?

Hello how are you, my name is André Estevão Rech also known as André Rech, I live in the city of Capinzal in the state of Santa Catarina - Brazil. So it all started around the 2000s, when I set up a bar in my city and due to the lack of local artists and also because at the time it was unfeasible to bring artists from other places, I started DJing.

2. How is your sound evolving? What artists and genres do you enjoy mixing right now?

I've always liked more retro sounds, and as I'm a musician I also like melodic sounds, and I saw in Indie Dance this possibility of union, evolution is kind of a constant because every moment we learn and hear new things, today in my sets I walk mainly through Indie Dance, mixing with Melodic Techno, Dark Disco and also some hints of Progressive House

3. How do you feel your music influences or impacts its listeners?

Despite living in a distant place, I see that my songs are traveling around the world, I receive many positive messages from people everywhere, so this becomes a fuel for me, for this reason I believe that in some way my music ends up influencing people.

4. What projects are you working on right now? What can you tell us about your last job?

At the moment I'm not working on new projects, I just have some releases scheduled

5. Has that sound changed much in recent years? What is your musical criteria in your

latest work?

I really like exploring sounds from the 70s, 80s and 90s, so in my music you will always find elements with these characteristics,

6. We all know that the digital revolution has affected sales, but do you think it has affected

creativity?

I believe that on the contrary, I think that producers are increasingly creative, even because new producers are born every day, I worry about the arrival of artificial intelligence, many songs are being created using it

7. Can you tell us about your present and future projects?

In musical terms I don't even have a project in progress yet, as I said before, I'm releasing what I've already produced.

But around this we seek the growth of Synce Dance, of which I am part, and also together with Armonice we seek to revive another label created by him.
