Today we welcome to Chromatic Djego Silber, we sat down for a chat about his life, career and music!
Can you tell us a little about your experience so far in the music business?
I started very early as musician. I played bass and guitar in different bands and I worked as professional bass player for different acts. Also, I wrote and composed songs for different international acts. Music is my life since I was very young, and least, last year I opened my own electronic record label, Señorita Records, where I can do what I like to do: Electronic music !
Where are you from? and do you feel that has a big impact on your sound?
I was born in Bielefeld, Germany and I am based in a small town near Tarragona, Spain for the last 20 years. When I was living in Frankfurt, Germany, I started to hear electronic music and I fell in love with it
What artists and genres do you enjoy most right now?
I love all kind of music, but mostly electronic and house music. I have a long long list of artists that I love but some of them are: Dan Sieg, Ben Böhmer, Denis Cruz are some of them
Was your new record a big endevour? or did it come together easily?
Music comes mostly easily to me, I work mostly on three or four tracks at the same time, so that I can chose on which track I can work better when I am at studio
Has that sound changed a lot in recent years?
Making music, for me, is permanent changing, and I like it very much, always in development
Do you feel safe now to have a more experimental sound?
I never stop and I am always searching new sounds, this is what gives me a good feeling and inspires me a lot
We all know that the digital revolution has affected sales, but has it affected creativity?
Yes, now I have the possibility to do everything what I want and what is in my mind.
Many DJs need music, and I am one of the guys that make the music for them and I like the feeling. Digital revolution permits you to be heard all around the world, and this makes you be more creative.
Can you tell us whats next for you?
My next release is called “can I have you “and it is a house track , we are still preparing the video and you will hear it very soon.
