Combining his passion for camera and music, he designed, shot, directed and edited his video for 'Booski' at his apartment in New York, marking his debut video project. We have had the pleasure of speaking with him and this has been the result.

Hi Jack Marzilla! Welcome to Chromatic Club. Where are you from / how did you get into music? How has your sound evolved over the past few years? My sound has always been on the darker, emotional vibes. I just think over the years of experimenting, I started to find, develop and fine tune my niche pocket.

How do you feel that your music influences or impacts your listeners? I want them to tell me, I only know how I feel when I’m creating.

What was the inspiration behind your new track Booski?

This record is all about relationship security, with an essence of fantasy and desire for your partner. We’re bombarded with music that promotes cheating, lying etc, and this is causing worldwide insecurities. I’m making Girlfriend/wife music, just because you’re in a relationship does not mean the mystery of desire and intimacy must be dull. Sexuality with maturity. Catch your vibes with your woman, and if you’re single, play my music for that late night mood supply.

I’m from Oceanside, Long Island NY. Spent my early years in a small beach house two blocks away from the shoreline. My music all started at the age of 9. Piano lessons turned into beat sessions as the years went on, eventually morphing into artisthood.

We heard you filmed & directed the music video. Have you always been interested in film? Yes, I just want to be creative and have fun doing it honestly. Create a visual representation of the moods and emotions that I feel when listing to my music. I designed the sets, put everything together and shot all the scenes that I’m not in. I had a vision in mind and I wanted to portray that to you all. I had help from friends, it truly was a group effort. This is my first-time filming and editing, so I must pay homage to YouTube tutorials!

What do you think about the current music scene? Of course there’s a handful of talented artists, but most of these acts today are not my cup of tea.

Where can we follow you? You can follow me on Instagram/twitter @Jackmarzilla

What can we expect from Jack Marzilla in 2022? Visuals, Poetry, clothing and a lot of music. This is just the beginning.
