M.R.E.U.X creates music that works in all settings and transcends genres. Can you tell us a bit about your experience? Where are you from / how did you get into music? Was it all internet based?
I was born in Trieste, north of Italy, I started making music when I was 14 years I remember when I bought my first synthesiser, the roland tb 303, everything started
Who have been your main inspirations (both musically and in "life")? And how have they affected your sound?
My influences originate from industrial music, Front 242, Kk, when techno music arrived, new beat I fell in love with that movement, it was 1988, I love wave music, but I collect vinyls of all genres
How would you define your sound?
My genre? Simply electronic music, I love psychedelia and everything that is anti-commercial
How has your sound evolved so far?
I've always had an evolution, every moment of my career, today I have a lot of experience, life teaches
What can you tell us about your last job? What inspired you? What do you want to transmit?
My new work together with the legend Ken Ishii is fantastic, the inspiration came to me in South America on the beach! To transmit? Bringing emotions
What can you tell us about each song that makes up your latest work? What is hidden behind?
I wanted rhythmic, an obsessive and psychedelic rhythm, fresh, a travelling companion on the edge of reality
How are you living the current situation due to COVID? Has your work affected you a lot? Do you think there is hope? I feel like the underground scene will continue to persist.
I don't want to talk about Covid, it was very stressful, I want life to start smiling again, underground will always exist, it's an immortal mentality
What projects are you working on right now?
Good question, I have several programs, but this is a secret, (I smile) Blumoog Music
