REVIEW: 9CLAWS + CHINOSYNTH presents RED EYES

The Mexican producer Jorge Gómez, better known as Chinosynth, is allied this time with his friend from Russia, Azat Khasanov, better known as 9Claws, whom he met as Alexei, aka Velax. With 9Claws - in addition to Velax - the Chinosynth relative felt a great musical brotherhood, due to his charm for the Dark style that both producers handled.

We do not know where to register his latest work, since he is able to navigate between various genres with ease and mastery. We could say that his retro-futuristic electronic court is the most honest and eclectic to date. This latest work, so narrative and cinematographic, invites us to enjoy it both at home and on the dance floor.

Chinosynth and 9Claws leave nothing behind and confirm the mission that electronic music has always had: to play with the present and move towards the unknown, beyond entertainment. The result is a work as experimental as it is intense and addictive, which takes over itself like a sweet poison, while progressively transporting us, as few producers with a certain fluidity are willing to do. We do not know what the future holds, but we do know that this album is testimony to a turbulent and uncertain present, which will remain in our memory forever. Because of records like this, we can continue to fight for a better future.

In such a complex and chaotic moment, in the midst of a pandemic, this work becomes a place as wonderful as it is necessary.
