CHINASKI creates music that works in all settings and transcends genres. His openness to a wide range of sound is what has both made him a widely loved favourite, but also someone who operates in his own parallel musical world. Can you tell us a little about your experience? Where are you from / how did you get into music?
I was introduced to music really early. I remember to have a small cheap Yamaha keyboard for kids with some drum sounds and I was really fascinated because some of these drum hits are sounds like one Song from the radio… . I really was fascinated by that.
How is your sound evolving? What artists and genres do you enjoy mixing right now?
I hear a lot of game music right now. Usually I get my inspiration outside the dance music and try to translate things to something you can move. For example If I hear a great obscure Trash Metal Song from decades ago I will try to evolve that energy into some High Energy Track.
When DJing I’m much more spontaneous. Currently I’ve made a DJ-Videostream for Robert Johnson which is online now on YouTube.
How do you feel that your music influences or impacts your listeners?
During the pandemic and not playing shows I guess Social Media is even more important than before. If someone messages me and let me know he enjoys my music - that’s definitely brightens up my day.
What projects are you working on right now? What can you tell us about your last job?
I just released a Single for Dischi Autunno called „Energy“ with really cool Remixes by Nadia Struiwigh and DJ Overdose.
For the future I just finished a really ambitious Dance Album for a label I can’t reveal at this point but I’m very proud that I managed to get this music together. There are some cool Remixes and Tracks for Compilations I made that will be released during this year. I also made 2 Soundtracks I cannot speak right now but I’m really happy to do that! A new LARJ Single is almost finished too.
What piss you off?
Mostly myself.

When I don’t do that.
