REVIEW: Lupe presents Come Through [Sous]

Lupe makes her debut on Anja Schneider's label, Sous, and now she's back, with a more cinematic and laid-back house with Come Through. Each of the songs on this album, as energetic as it is evocative, sums up her intentions, seeking novelty without losing nostalgia, that she plays with the genre but without falling into predictable tricks. It should be noted that Lupe's level of production is intense but, on the other hand, the care of the sounds they release is up to those who do things because they want to and with the time they really need.

To achieve simplicity and lucidity, paradoxically, experience and the ability to free oneself from the limitation of conditioning are required, and this Come Through is a healthy example of this.
