REVIEW: POLA WOMEN presents Disco Disco

Intriguing electronic duo Pola Women land on Rework's Exlove label with a fantastic new six-track EP.

This duo is formed by Desiree Lune with Michel Kuebler, a couple that is divided between Berlin and Stuttgart and is inspired by the aesthetics of the 80s disco and cinema. Now they publish "Disco Disco", a work that consolidates the duo's career of artists.

"Disco Disco" is a serious job, carefully cared for, which lends itself to starting it up and not returning to reality until it is finished: the headphones are like the oxygen cylinder that allow you to immerse yourself to the bottom of this great sound rotation, out of this cosmic orbit, and being there in a state of hypnotic fascination. In this world where speed is desperately sought and the attention deficit is so high, such a record will be misunderstood among many people, even dismissed as really important. But you just have to have the patience and the desire to stop, to breathe, to sink into it, to endure as long as you can and to admire its interior.
