Ritual Cloak presents Opaque Crater

After 'I Lawr Ymhlith and Tywyllwch' last year, electronic post-rock duo 'Ritual Cloak' and 'Bubblewrap Collective' land with 'Opaque Crater', the lead single from the duo 'Divine Invasions', the upcoming second album... And they return with an evocative and skillfully produced sound that incorporates progressive and melodic elements for a rich, engaging and highly unique sound.

The track breathes positivity. The song was written and recorded before closing, so the writing process was quite different than for most of the album. Nothing links them to Ritual Cloak. Through solid arrangements and solid programming, this single becomes a vehicle for reverential music that manages to spill out enough ideas from the artist himself to shake off the high era, allowing it to exist in its own right as credible. Andrew manages to admirably distill it into an album that turns out to be a close listener from start to finish.

Altogether, this single is as experimental as it is intense and addictive, it takes over oneself like a sweet poison, while progressively transporting us, as few producers with a certain fluidity are willing to do. We don't know what the future holds for us, but we do know that this album is testimony to a turbulent and uncertain present, which will remain in our memory forever. For records like this, we can continue to fight for a better future.

OpaqueCrater will be released across digital platforms on February 5th, 2021 with the album following later this spring.
