El cantante y productor australiano Sturjun presenta ‘Just A Friend’, que es toda una carta de presentación del sonido que va a desarrollar en los próximos lanzamientos. Con este trabajo, la el productor nos descubre su intimidad en el lenguaje que le permite la música, pero sin perder la intención. A través de su sonoridad se descubre para dejar al oyente que saque sus propias conclusiones y se deje guiar por sus sensaciones. La canción ‘Just A Friend’ sigue el sencillo debut del productor y compositor australiano "China" que se lanzó a mediados del año pasado y los muchos proyectos en televisión y cine en los que Sturjun ha agregado su marca creativa.
Nos encontramos ante un track en el que habitan muchas historias y temas, solapados, pero no escondidos. Infinitas historias que convergen en una misma que siempre terminan siendo dos. La misma cara en dos monedas diferentes. "Just a Friend" se abre con un redoble de batería que conduce directamente a la voz embriagadora y cruda del cantante de indie-folk Ebony Tait. Las voces y armonías de Ebony son limpias con un tono vocal increíblemente hermoso que es reconfortante y puro. La incorporación de Sturjun de sintetizadores y ritmos eléctricos le da a la pista una sensación ligeramente retro de los 80. Eso le permite abarcar un universo infinito de posibilidades musicales, un recorrido que va desde la luz a la oscuridad y viceversa, en el que el mejor de los resultados posibles es el eclecticismo con el que trabaja la producción este joven productor. Plenamente libre, sin ataduras ni pretensiones, sin más afán que el de gozar con la experiencia, y el aprendizaje. La voz pegadiza y vulnerable de Ebony Tait junto con una pista electro-pop divertida, nos mantendrán en loop viviendo esta aventura amorsa intensamente.
El resultado es un single que es una aventura musical sobre el amor/desamor, que recuerda lo mejor y lo peor del ser humano, pero también es un testimonio de un presente convulso, sin rumbo definido, pero que nos alumbra con su oscuridad para salir adelante con fuerza.

The song 'Just A Friend' follows up the Australian producer and songwriter’s debut single "China”, which was released in the middle of last year, along the many television and film projects in which Sturjun has added his creative brand.

The same face on two different coins. "Just a Friend" opens with a drum roll that leads straight to the raw and intoxicating vocals of indie-folk singer Ebony Tait. Ebony's vocals and harmonies are clean with an incredibly beautiful vocal tone that is comforting and pure. Sturjun's incorporation of synths and electric grooves gives
the track a slightly retro '80s feel. That allows it to encompass an infinite universe of musical possibilities, a journey from light to dark and vice versa, in which the the best of the possible results is the eclecticism with which this young producer works. Completely free, without ties or pretensions, with no other desire than to enjoy the experience and learning. Ebony Tait's catchy and vulnerable voice along with a fun electro-pop track will keep us looping through this love affair intensely.
The result is a single that is a musical adventure about love / heartbreak, which recalls the best and worst of the human being, but is also a testimony of a convulsive present, without a definite direction, but that illuminates us with its darkness to get out forward with force.
