Astropolis Records emerged from the legendary French electronic festival and has become a bastion of deeply emotional sounds with plenty of flair. To mark its 10th anniversary belatedly, a selection of artists who have long been associated with the brand have all stepped up. Eight of the tracks are exciting collaborations, and only three of the 10 have been previously released.
Rone kicks off with the all-new 'The Dolphin Ambassador', a cosmic ambient synthscape featuring gentle drums. Mézigue & Swooh's 'Broken Roll To Venice' is a hyperactive ghetto and acid-laced cut, then long-time KiNK staple 'Give Me' finally gets full release and is a speaker-busting, bass-driven boomer. Belaria & Madben bring high-stakes astral techno explorations, Oniris & Benjamin Rippert pull back with a heartfelt blend of supple, dubby hypnosis and tender pianos, and Legowelt & Cuften rewire brains with abrasive synths and chugging drums laced up with Italo melodies.
The second half of the collection takes in the dark, EBM-infused sounds of Zaatar & Trunkline, modulated Detroit techno soul from Scan X & Electric Rescue, and dense, caustic, and industrial techno from Manu Le Malin & Kmyle. Célélé & Théo Muller shut down with the eerie, echoing vocals and fractured, cold-wave and jungle fusion of 'Drum and Drift'.
Various Artists 'Astropolis Records 10 Years' comes on CD, digital, and 2xLP on Astropolis Records on 5th
December 2025.
