Bae Blade, underground darling gone global, launches her own label B.A.E. - Build Around Energy with a typical explosion of edgy brilliance, via her new 3-track ‘INTRODUCING BAEDDIES’ EP, out now. Recent dance-dynamite EP single ‘HEY MAMI’ received support from Mixmag, DJ Mag, Numéro & more. The Full EP also features a Laure Croft remix, plus new track ‘WKAT?’

B.A.E. is an independent label built on everything Berlin-based producer/DJ Bae Blade looked for and couldn't find. Drawing on years of experience, she intends B. A. E. to be a home for electronic artists where they are seen, supported, and valued for who they are. Bae Blade is uncompromising and unapologetic about both her sound – a high energy, kitschy & edgy mix of techno, hard dance and breaks - and her intention when launching her label. ‘I started B. A. E. because I spent years looking for a place that didn't really exist, where being an artist equals living the freedom to create. EP ‘INTRODUCING BAEDDIES’ Tracks:

‘WKAT?’ (Watchu Know About That?): A percussive onslaught of breakbeats around a hooky riff and a demanding morse-pulsing theme with caught breath sounds upping the urgency. A processed vocal title riff and tumbling distorted melodic interludes join the frenzy, as builds and breaks flash by. Head-spinning disorientation never felt so good.

‘HEY MAMI’ (Laure Croft remix): Amsterdam-born, Berlin-based Laure Croft strips back the original to a fast, rattling techno onslaught with hailstorms of hi-hat and clattering FX stabs, with Bae’s vocal cut to a title riff but with the sensuality upped a gear, in Croft’s signature ‘keep it sexy’ style.

‘HEY MAMI’: A full-on barrage of multi-layered breaksy percussion at break-neck speed, with squealing sirens, pulsating synth, distorted melody with hoover/doppler FX, fuzzy dark notes stomping through, plus her increasingly processed rap-style vocal… the range and variety are complex and subtle, the message and effect simple – go dance!
