Fresh off their birthday celebration, Melodize Records shows no signs of slowing down. Their 18th release is a gorgeously moody and rhythmically rich outing from label founder Beartrax, with two standout originals and remixes that twist the emotions even further.
“Opaque” opens the EP with soft violin phrases and enveloping synth pads, guiding the listener through waves of emotion with cinematic grace. It feels like the soundtrack to a foggy sunrise—introspective, soulful, and quietly powerful. “Sanctity” is darker, a slow roll of groove and shadow that invites you to get lost in its pulse.
Massimiliano Pagliara brings a little more muscle to “Opaque,” layering in a bassline that struts confidently beneath dreamy textures. His version feels like a deep space detour—cool, sleek, and fully immersive. Meanwhile, Eliott Litrowski’s rework of “Sanctity” adds grit and mystery, pulling from electro, new wave, and post-punk aesthetics to build something hypnotic and strange.
This is a record to feel as much as to dance to—beautifully curated, emotionally articulate, and full of sonic detail.
