Boneyard Reclaims The Floor With Phone-Free All Up In My Zone

Boneyard’s All Up In My Zone lands as a small act of resistance, a growing zeitgeist. Split over two EPs on Hype & Soul Recordings, the project folds a simple sentiment "no phones, no requests - a return to the simple traditions of the dancefloor" A run of club tools and dub experiments that shout the message loud and clear to anyone not present on the dancefloor.

The Club Mixes EP stays closest to the booth. Ki-ley’s remix pushes the vocal into murky, bass driven main-room territory, while the Main Room Mix and Lamprey’s Acid House Groove work stab lines, swung drums and straight-forward Tech-House tension. DJ Sulli and SHAI round things out with characterful grooves, bringing in a round of ideas that nod to the originals but completely flip the looser House tradition without falling into pastiche.

The Dub Mixes take the same core ideas somewhere moodier. Often stripping arrangements back to bass and texture, while splicing between swagger and breakbeat pressure. References drift from trip-hop haze to UK rave circuitry, but the focus stays on the weight, space and voice.

Taken together, All Up In My Zone reads less like a nostalgia trip and more like a quiet protest against scroll culture music built to be felt in the room, not captured on a screen.
