The final Truesoul of 2025 is slick! Rising Brazilian artist Roddy Lima continues a stunning breakthrough period with ‘EYES’.
No surprise he caught the ear of Adam Beyer. His Truesoul debut reinforces his status as a classy groove merchant. ‘EYES’ is a crisp roller, laser-focused in its dancefloor design. ‘SHATTER’ dishes the sass with a head-nodding vox, punchy b-lines and chunky percussion.
“EYES is my take on minimal techno boiled down to what I enjoy most about the style…two tracks built around a steady pulse, meant to pull you in slowly while the atmosphere shifts around it. I wanted the music to feel grounded with details that reveal themselves the longer you stay with it,” Roddy Lima shares.
“Releasing it on Truesoul felt right. The label has a real sense for groove and experimentation, and that created the right setting for this more restrained, late-night sound. In a subtle way, this release connects where my music started with the direction it’s gradually moving toward.”
