Cosmosolar’s new EP, Chapter 25, is a bold entry into the cross-genre space where rock and techno merge into a unique club-oriented sound. Released on Critical Monday, the French independent label run by Bonnie Spacey, this three-track EP invites listeners into a raw and pulsating sonic journey.
The opening track, Fastliker, sets the tone with a driving beat and hypnotic synth layers that push the boundaries of techno, borrowing elements from rock’s intensity. The aggressive rhythm combined with cosmic melodies creates a track that feels both expansive and immediate—a perfect opener that pulls listeners in with its deep, vibrating energy. You can almost feel the dark, industrial club atmosphere pulsating through this track.
Mon Yarlux, the second track, shifts the tone slightly, bringing in more emotional depth and complexity. While still rooted in the driving techno sound, the track’s textured synths and steady pace give it a more contemplative feel. There’s a subtle undercurrent of tension that builds throughout, making it a track that is as suited for home listening as it is for the club floor.
Closing the EP is a remix of Mon Yarlux by Bonnie Spacey and Rems Martinez, which reinterprets the original track with a minimalist yet intense approach. The remix strips down the elements, accentuating the bass and rhythm to create a hypnotic loop that feels almost meditative. The result is a fascinating blend of subtle experimental touches that highlight the label’s ethos—innovative, bold, and always danceable.
