Es genial poder mirar alrededor del mundo y poder ver la cantidad de buena música que se está produciendo en tantísimas ciudades diferentes. Toronto es una de ellas. Si prestamos atención, nos daremos cuenta que hace unos pocos años apareció en escena el sello Selections., dirijido Mark Kufner, y ha ido creando poco a poco un punto de referencia en el sonido House en el continente Americano.
Van por su cuarta referencia desde 2019 y han contado con la colaboración de gente de la talla de Kai Alcé, Nick Holder, Kevin Over, Demuir, 83 West o Tobi Danton. El ritmo es alto y la calidad también.
En esta cuarta referencia es Jamn Ensemble el que nos invita al EP titulado “The Snows of Yesterday”. El parisino nos trae una produccion con una base totalmente deep, apoyadas en todo momento con guiños a estilos como el techno o el acid. Por otra parte aparece la colaboración de Basic Soul Unit con un remix de la canción que da nombre al EP. Conocido por sus referencias en sellos como Dekmantel, Otsgut Ton o Versatile durante más de dos décadas, el productor juega con esa delgada línea que a veces es el techno con el deep house. Y el resultado es este gran rmx.
“The Snows of Yesteryear” es EP muy dinamico, que sabe jugar con las atmosferas más deep e introducir otras vertientes de otros estilos, como el acid o el techno, teniendo todas un papel principal. Un disco para una amplia gama de amantes del sonido más deep que no se conforman con lo típico.

That´s great to see all arround the world and observe this huge amount of good music is being produced in many towns.
Toronto is one of them. If we pay attention, we´ll notice that few years ago apeared in Toronto´s scene a new record label, Selections, aimed by Mark Kufner and he´s been creating litle by little a reference point in House sound inside American continent.

Besides, it apears a Basic Soul Unit collaboration with a EP´s entitled remix. He is well known for his productions in record labels like Dekmantel, Otsgut Ton or Versatile for more that two decades, he plays with a thin line between techno and deep house. As a result, this great remix.
“The Snows of Yesteryear” is dynamic EP, which plays with deeper ambiences and introduce another aspects of other music styles, like acid or techno music, having all of them a leading role. A record to an extend range of deep sound lovers who don´t be content with typical sound.
