Jordan Peak Drops His Debut on Edible with his ‘Beats 4 Eats Part. 1’ EP

Jordan Peak drops an infectious two track EP of killer dancefloor ready cuts, marking his debut on Edible, inspired by seeing the label boss playing a special set at fabric,.

Jordan Peak is held in high regard by his peers across house and techno music. He first made his mark back when Pete Tong and DJ Mag tipped him as ‘one to watch’. Swiftly he went from strength-to-strength in both the studio and DJ booth as he became renowned for his finely crafted productions blending classic house and techno with his own modern and distinctive twist. This culminated in Peak gracing the decks of the world’s finest venues and parties including fabric, Mint Leeds, Rex Club, Studio 80, Pacha, Space and Electric Pickle. This saw Jordan gain staunch support from the house and techno elite Carl Cox, Disclosure, Gerd Janson, Groove Armada, Jamie Jones, John Digweed, Kerri Chandler, Marco Carola, Maya Jane Coles, Patrick Topping and Seth Troxler. With releases on some of the world's most esteemed imprints Bass Culture, One Records, Morris Audio. Robsoul and Saved Records he gained attention from premier dance publication Mixmag with not one, but two tune of the month titles. After a prolonged hiatus Jordan Peak is back with a renewed strength and determination to bring his inspiring crossover house and techno sound to the masses.

‘Room 2’ – Jordan wrote this after seeing a special set from Eats Everything in fabric’s iconic Room 2. This has become a staple in the label boss’ sets in the past few months. This track gets you moving, utilising a chunky phat beat and an infectious vocal, delivering this ‘Peak’ time weapon that will be on heavy rotation for many in the coming months.

On the flip is ‘Pressure Point’, where Peak adds some jackin’ swing on the groove, a Reece bass and well worked vocal sample that gives this a bit of attitude and rawness that works well for the dancers and the listener alike. This is a great first release on Edible from the reinvigorated Jordan Peak and there will be more from him later this year.
