Following a standout Drumcode debut last year, bubbling Brazilian DJ/producer KAF3R makes another statement with ‘Wow’, his maiden Truesoul contribution.
At the tender age of 20, KAF3R is staking his claim as one of the most exciting new artists in his field. Connecting with Konstantin Sibold, he birthed the brilliant ‘Lost in Space’ on Drumcode – a label highlight in 2024. Elsewhere he’s impressed with a face-melting remix of Tiga’s ‘Mind Dimension’ and a release on Armind with Bigfett ‘Stop Me’.
He’s part of the new school of Brazilian electronic music artists drawing inspiration from scene-shaping artists like Vintage Culture, while injecting the sound with plenty of fresh ideas. First played by Adam Beyer at Drumsheds earlier this year, ‘Wow’ lives up to its name.
KAF3R explains it was inspired by “an analog wobble sound that set the tone for the entire production,” he shares. “With ‘Wow’ I wanted to create an energetic and intense track that delivers a powerful vibe to the listener.”
The track is a powerful mood elevator, combining a driving tectonic b-line, hypnotic vocal and memorable lead synth, it’s made for big moments. No surprise his hero Vintage Culture has since started championing it in his sets.
“This release means a lot for me. After releasing ‘Lost in Space’ on Drumcode, it’s so nice to be releasing on one of Adam Beyer’s labels again.”
