Kito Jempere presents Infinite Azure

Saint Petersburg-born and now Dubai-based producer Kito Jempere makes a striking debut on the ever-refined Mule Musiq with a four-track EP that effortlessly traverses the emotional and stylistic spectrum of modern deep house. Known for his chameleonic approach to production, Jempere here distills a wealth of influences into a concise, emotionally resonant statement that feels both timeless and forward-thinking.

The record opens with a bang. The lead track, aptly titled for its anthemic potential, is a buoyant slice of breakbeat-driven house. Its kinetic rhythm locks in immediately, while spoken-word fragments weave through the mix like fleeting thoughts on a dancefloor high. At the heart of it all, a luminous, lyrical piano riff carries the track toward a euphoric crest, evoking the communal ecstasy of a sunrise set.

From there, the mood shifts into more sultry territory with “Infinite Azure”—a lush, jazz-inflected deep house cut that channels the sophistication of late-’90s Guidance Recordings releases. The groove is supple and unhurried, the chords rich and expansive, the kind of track that invites dancers into a hypnotic sway rather than a frenzied stomp.

“Mid 0000s” deepens the abstraction, moving into terrain reminiscent of Isolée’s idiosyncratic minimalism. Here, textures crackle and blur, percussion flits in and out like half-remembered beats, and melodies emerge only to dissolve again, creating a dreamlike tension that keeps the ear engaged. It’s the kind of track that reveals new details with every listen.

Closing with “Teaser”, Jempere delivers perhaps the EP’s most emotionally direct moment. Built around a delicate, melancholic piano motif and ethereal vocals, it’s a track tailor-made for those bittersweet, end-of-night moments when the lights come up but you wish they wouldn’t.

Throughout the EP, Kito Jempere demonstrates not only technical mastery but also a rare sensitivity to mood and pacing. It’s a release that moves seamlessly from the kinetic to the contemplative, from peak-time elation to introspective comedown—an ideal addition to Mule Musiq’s storied catalog and a promising new chapter for Jempere himself.
