NEWS: Barcelona indie 4-piece CLEMENTINE drops 2nd EP ‘Point Be’

Barcelona-based, multi-national indie 4-piece CLEMENTINE celebrate their second EP with a shift in mood. Point Be is out now on Spanish imprint Siete Señoritas Gritando.

Their debut EP REC. was supported by BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio, Aupium, as CLEMENTINE, a headline act since 2019, played a series of consecutive sold-out shows in their home city, crowned by a riotous christening of the city’s coolest new bar, the Lucky Schmuck.

Recorded in a studio in the mountains outside Barcelona, the new four-tracker explores a darker, more anthemic sound, while maintaining their trademark shimmering guitars, driving rhythm section and strong, soulful vocals.

Opener Flight Tracker explores personal transformation with growling bass, clear, pure guitar and strong percussion, while Forth Road Bridge touches on the struggle to protect happiness in hard times with vocals sometimes reminiscent of Ian Curtis.

Looking For explores the search for identity and purpose with singing, heart-lifting guitars, while closing track The Streets Will Always Be Ours sings of love in the midst of a riot, its driving beat bringing the EP to a powerful crescendo.

‘Point Be’ is out on Siete Señoritas Gritando on August 19th. Smart link to follow.

“CLEMENTINE are pushing the boundaries of indie-rock with their sound. Setback is a sanguine anthem built on gauzy riffs that send frizzling frissons” Aupium

“I absolutely love REC., Flowers is a phenomenal track, an absolute indie banger” Charlie Ashcroft, Amazing Radio
