NEWS: BEMZ RELEASES DANCE FLOOR READY ZIDANE REMIX EP FEATURING LIAM DOC, TESTPRESS + MORE

Following its release earlier this summer, Bemz has shared his dancefloor ready EP featuring five remixes of his single Zidane. The Zidane EP compiles remixes from some of the most exciting names currently working across the spectrum of Scotland’s music scene. Opening up with the original version of Zidane, bookending a huge summer for the track which has proved a firm favourite for fans at his sold out King Tut’s show and festivals across the UK including Reading & Leeds, Riverside Festival and TRNSMT

Glaswegian DJ, producer and Eyeangle Records label head Liam Doc steps up for track two with his Heeder Tae The Chest Mix. Injecting the track with crunchy bass, classic piano sounds and sweet vocal samples, the Fly and Sub Club resident elevates the track into a balmy club ready cut. Track three sees Roose transform the track into a bouncy, UKG tinged track, before SENGA delves to the back of the club with sinister keys and a slippery bassline creating a darker, grimey atmosphere.

Aberdonian, DJ and production duo t e s t p r e s s kick things up a notch with the high-energy Headbutt Mix. The duo previously collaborated with Bemz for their single M4 Freestyle featuring Chef. Since then, the boys have cemented themselves at the forefront of Scotland’s electronic scene, securing a Sub Club residency and gaining support from names like Denis Sulta, KETTAMA and Skream. Following joining Bemz for a gorgeous, stripped back live performance during BBC Scotland’s TRNSMT Festival coverage earlier this year, Sonedo provides the final track with a stunning acoustic version of Zidane.

Speaking on the EP Bemz said: "To be able to have my music remixed by old friends and also amazing producers means a lot to me. A lot of work went into creating this single and seeing other people's interpretation of it is just sensational."

The new releases continues what has been a huge year for Bemz. Since his acclaimed 2021 EP, ‘M4’, the former Scottish Alternative Music Awards’ Best Live Act winner has gone on to be crowned as this year’s inaugural BBC Introducing Scotland Act of the Year before being championed by BBC 1Xtra as their Pick of the Week with previous single ‘26’ making Track of the Week and supporting Run the Jewels.
