Pablo Say fires back with punchy Truesoul release ‘Repique’

Pablo Say continues his impressive form streak with a quick-fire return to Truesoul following ‘VIP’ in March.

The Spanish artist is a mainstay of the Barcelona scene, a tireless DJ and producer whose talent for crafting groove-injected techno cuts caught the ear of Adam Beyer. Following ‘Ruta’ a collaboration with Anna Tur, plus a contribution to Drumcode A-Sides with ‘What’s That’, and his recent two-tracker on Truesoul, ‘VIP’, he shares another strong offering from his studio ‘REPIQUE’.

The title track is a smoky slice of club heat, built around crisp drums and a punchy bass, while chopped up vocal effects add plenty of trippy energy throughout. ‘Motherfuckers in the Club’ contrasts ‘Repique’ beautifully – it’s an up-tempo driving cut that laces Say’s trademark punchy grooves with a slick melodic sheen.
