Hot on the heels of their successful collaboration with Get Physical Music releasing their own remix version of the house classic "I Get Deep", REWORK returns with a new dancefloor-pleasing EP called "Break Off".
This three-track EP is inspired by her early Playhouse releases using heavy bass patterns, sinister synth effects and cool, minimalist female vocal contributions.
The songs that are recorded on this album show the particular way of understanding the sound of this REWORK, located at the opposite end of what is commercial, what is generic, what works: what it does is, on the contrary, a kind of unstable magma of pulsations and glows, of melodic lines and blurred textures, pursuing a serene, spiritual, almost ascetic expression. All those languages and influences from which they drew dialogue on this record, creating new, different and highly evolved sound organisms.
The idea that drives this album refers us to one of the crucial attributes of music, and it is its inexhaustible capacity to generate moods that protect us at all times. Its meaning remains in the hands of lovers of electronic music, beyond the dance floor and all hedonism.
REWORK's stripped-down rhythm and pulsing synth work don't show significant advancement, but their work still captures an inner glamour.
With a sonic template of their previous tracks, REWORK shows their love for club music again on their own label, exlove records.
