Riverside Festival, Scotland’s premiere celebration of electronic music, have announced a new addition for this year - the ’Satellite Stage’ - which embraces the diversity of the city and the abundance of up-and-coming homegrown talent that Glasgow is renowned for.
On the Friday, the much loved community station Clyde Built Radio will host with a line-up including: double Scottish Alternative Music Award Winner DJ, producer and activist TAAHLIAH, a special b2b from two of the best in the west Ribeka and Sofay and Junglehussi who has been a massive beacon of positive energy this last year.
Clyde Built has proven to be a lifeline of connection for the Glasgow scene during the strangest and most difficult year that we've been faced with. Founded by Huntleys + Palmers head Andrew Thomson in 2019, the online radio station has flourished with a nourishing environment for newcomers to share the schedule with city’s mainstays and as a result, have uncovered many new favourite DJ’s - some of whom will be joining them across the Friday.
Since Electric Frog and Pressure got together at the inception of Riverside Festival, the event has strived to support and promote their city’s scene and after the challenging year that the music scene has experienced, it’s more important than ever to collaborate with the local music scene.
The programme reflects a cross section of Glasgow’s underground electronic scene from Lezzerquest’s Anna Gram, who runs Shoot Your Shot with Bonzai Bonner, and hi-energy and Afro-house vibes from Dija b2b ButhoTheWarrior, to the party starters Acid Ultras playing live and the vast and varied array of talented producers on board. The bookings also ventured out with the city to bring Co-Accused from Club 69 in Paisley and Inverness techno collective, Kouncil Cuts.
