Out now via Sony Music Latin, two of electronic music’s most sought-after artists reimagine one of the year’s defining Latin records.
A global hit continues its evolution as two of electronic music’s most influential forces step in to reimagine one of the year’s standout Latin releases. Following its explosive debut in March 2026, “ALGO TÚ” — the acclaimed collaboration between GRAMMY® and Latin GRAMMY® Award-winning artist Shakira and rising Colombian star Beéle — returns with two powerful official remixes from Shimza and Indira Paganotto, bridging continents, cultures and club sounds.
Originally released via Sony Music Latin in March 2026, “ALGO TÚ” quickly established itself as a defining Latin and Afro-fusion record, blending contemporary pop sensibilities with traditional Colombian elements such as the Gaita. The track’s live debut at Mexico City’s Zócalo, where Shakira and Beéle performed in front of over 400,000 fans, marked a historic cultural moment and set the stage for its global impact. Now, with these two new remixes from Shimza and Indira Paganotto, the song enters a bold new chapter; one that amplifies its DNA for the international electronic music scene.
Leading the charge is Shimza, one of the most respected names in the global Afro House movement. Hailing from Tembisa, South Africa, Shimza has built a reputation for his refined production style and commanding DJ presence, bringing African electronic music to the world’s biggest stages. His remix of “ALGO TÚ” had its world premiere during a standout back-to-back set with Afrojack at Coachella, where it immediately captured the attention of a massive international audience. Unveiled during the Saturday performance in Indio, California, the track transformed the original into an Afro House-driven anthem, merging hypnotic grooves with Caribbean influences. The moment not only highlighted the global appeal of Latin music, but also reaffirmed its growing dominance on some of the most important festival stages in the world.
Complementing Shimza’s remix is a striking reinterpretation from Indira Paganotto, one of the most electrifying and fast-rising names in contemporary techno. Known as the “Psymama,” the Spanish-Italian artist has carved out a unique sonic identity, blending psytrance and techno into an intense, high-energy experience that has captivated audiences worldwide. Her remix of “ALGO TÚ” injects the track with driving rhythms, hypnotic textures and her signature raw energy, transforming it into a peak-time weapon designed for the world’s most demanding dancefloors. With recent appearances spanning Tomorrowland, Awakenings and Amnesia Ibiza, Paganotto’s global rise continues unabated, and her take on “ALGO TÚ” further cements her status as one of the scene’s most influential artists.
Accompanying the two remixes is an official music video for “ALGO TÚ”. Directed by Shakira and Jaume De Laiguana, the video showcases Shakira and Beéle perfectly in sync as they dance across Barranquilla, both artists’ hometown.
One of the main locations in the video is the iconic Open-Air Museum of Barrio Abajo, an emblematic site of the city’s renowned Carnival, rich in art, culture, gastronomy, and history, reflecting the local identity. It also features the Gran Malecón along the Magdalena River, the Luna del Río Ferris wheel, and the Puerta de Oro Convention and Event Center. All of these spaces were restored and/or built by the Barranquilla Mayor’s Office, led by Mayor Alejandro Char, as a testament to the city’s urban transformation over the past 20 years.
In just a few weeks, Shakira will take the stage at Copacabana Beach for this year’s Todo Mundo No Rio concert on May 2nd. This free show will be a vibrant spectacle featuring Shakira playing her greatest hits across her entire career, continuing her epic world tour throughout 2026. On top of this, Shakira was crowned by Billboard this year as having the “highest-grossing Hispanic tour of all time” with her recent Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, achieving a gross revenue of $421.6 million, inclusive of 82 stadium shows all across the US and Latin America with over 3.3 million people in attendance.
