Sonic Roots and Celestial Echoes — A Journey through “Universal Roots”

Actualizado: 31 may

Universal Roots is not just a collection of compositions—it’s an emotional architecture, designed with reverence for both the personal and the cosmic. Each track constructs a different room, where memories, histories, and possibilities echo.

go-Dratta’s “Lato Mare” serves as the blueprint for intimacy. There’s an unmistakable tenderness in its use of children's improvisations, a sonic imprint of moments too fleeting to capture except through sound. It’s environmental music not only in its textures, but in its spirit—deeply human, impossibly fragile.

With “Lachin” by Magna Pia, we enter a room made of tradition and reinterpretation. The Uyghur folk song becomes a minimalist sculpture—carved into form with restraint and poise. The falcon of the song's name isn’t literal; it becomes a metaphor for cultural survival in the face of erasure.

Saba Alizadeh’s “I Roared My Justice” is the heart of the structure. It is protest and poetry intertwined. The recorded phrase from a political prisoner becomes a spectral presence, hovering over a fusion of processed Kamancheh and cold electronic layers. The track doesn’t ask to be understood—it demands to be felt.

TON 618’s “Magnetar” shifts the axis. The room here has no walls—only starlight, silence, and electric particles. This is a celestial meditation built on actual space data, blurring the line between astrophysics and abstract sound art. It evokes the isolation of the infinite.

And then comes CNS’s “Legacy”—a final hall of mirrors, reflecting power, perseverance, and time. This is the architecture of glory and inheritance, rendered in shimmering tones. The piece feels ceremonial, like the end of a great cycle.

This compilation builds a house of memory and resonance. Each room invites you to listen differently—with ears, with spirit, with history.
