REVIEW: Summer Sons - Three Sixty (feat. C. Tappin)

Actualizado: 15 jul 2021

"South London Jazz Rap group Summers Sons return with an updated and matured sound. ‘Three-Sixty’, the new single by brothers Turt (rap) and Slim (production), can easily be called one of their strongest songs so far. Accompanied by C.Tappin on keys and vocals, Summers Sons have created a masterful coming of age rap song from a 90s baby perspective. ‘This one for everyone stuck in the cycles, looking for resolution. Keep moving, everything comes back around.’ After the sudden loss of their stepfather in 2019, Turt explains ‘this track is inspired by new life and the blessings of new family members. With that in mind it was only right we brought through the family C.Tappin to do his thing on this one.’

Since 2018, Summers Sons have released three albums on Melting Pot Music that have accumulated over 22 Mio streams to date. Summers Sons and C.Tappin are members of The Silhouettes Project and kicked off their own label Lightworks earlier this year. Turt and Tappin are also two thirds of Syrup alongside Cologne producer Twit One. Their album ‘Rosy Lee’ came out last year on MPM."
