Max Hefele presents Call Me [MYR]

On Call Me EP, Max Hefele explores the increasingly porous boundary between classic house music and modern melodic techno, producing a release that values subtle evolution over dramatic contrast. Across four tracks, groove remains the central language, while melody serves as the emotional guide.

"Call Me" immediately introduces Hefele's aesthetic. Familiar house rhythms are modernized through spacious production and carefully layered textures that feel contemporary without abandoning their roots. It is accessible yet refined, equally comfortable in intimate club settings or larger festival environments.

The emotional centre arrives with "Better Day of Life," whose glowing synth arrangements and uplifting progression evoke optimism without becoming sentimental. Hefele keeps the percussion understated, allowing harmonic development to carry much of the track's momentum.

If the first half of the EP invites listeners in, "Rabbit in the Cage" draws them deeper. Minimal changes gradually reshape the sonic landscape, creating hypnotic tension that reflects the producer's confidence in long-form development. The concluding "Storm and Struggle" injects fresh energy through muscular drums and expansive melodic hooks, closing the record with conviction.

MYR Records has consistently cultivated artists capable of balancing dancefloor effectiveness with thoughtful musicality, and Hefele fits comfortably within that philosophy. His debut avoids obvious formulas while remaining immediately playable for DJs.

Rather than presenting house and melodic techno as opposing styles, Call Me EP suggests they are simply different chapters of the same evolving story, connected through rhythm, emotion and an enduring commitment to movement.
