Shares first solo release on Truesoul with captivating ‘Hypnotique’ single
Olivier Giacomotto returns for his first Truesoul outing in two years – the captivating ‘Hypnotique’.
This is the French producer’s first solo outing on Adam Beyer’s label, following deft collaboration with Fur Coat ‘The Wall in the Mirror’ and ‘Gone’, alongside a strong link-up with Mila Journée and Kiko for Trombe’ in 2024.
The artist is a master craftsman in the studio – classically trained, with a fine ear for sound design and belters alike. He built ‘Hynotique’ around a single sustained note – “not unlike the ‘om’ of a yogi”, he shares – and used evolving textures, rhythmic motifs and filtering to build tension throughout. The result is an immersive beast that has you locked from the outset.
