CLOSE PROXIMITY presents Pure Ascendance [MINITEL]

After a remarkable 2024 that marked the launch of MINITEL, the label kicks off 2025 with a compelling two-track release by CLOSE PROXIMITY and MARUWA.

CLOSE PROXIMITY, a project born in late 2024 from the minds of Frank Brady and Demack, introduces a focused sonic identity: emotionally resonant progressive music shaped by the aesthetics of early house, techno, and trance. Their first release on MINITEL bridges past and present with finesse.

“Pure Ascendance” lives up to its name—an airy Balearic progressive piece driven by a pulsing groove and lush melodic layers. Uplifting piano chords and soulful vocal snippets conjure the warmth of open-air ‘90s dance rituals.

“Acid is My DNA” dives headfirst into euphoric trance energy, featuring spiraling arps and an explosive peak that could light up a sunrise set.

MARUWA, hailing from Frankfurt, takes remix duties on “Pure Ascendance,” twisting it into a fierce club weapon with pounding drums, smoky dub textures, and tribal undertones. It's a hypnotic rework built for high-intensity moments.
