Kasbï Releases “Astral” on Blue Iris Records

Out now, the new single showcases the French producer’s evolving sound while reinforcing the artistic direction of Blue Iris Records, the independent label he co-founded with his brother Giannni.

Shaped by years spent moving between Ibiza, St. Barths, Saint-Tropez and Mykonos, the imprint's sun-drenched blend of melodic house, organic grooves and global influences has cultivated a sound that feels both worldly and deeply personal. Now, co-founder Kasbïadds a new chapter to that story with “Astral,” a record that reflects both his evolving artistic identity and the wider vision behind Blue Iris.

Blending the organic textures, emotive melodies and global influences that have become synonymous with his sound, “Astral” marks another step forward in Kasbï’sartistic evolution. Rooted in melodic and progressive house while drawing influences from afro-tech, indie dance and new wave, the spellbinding new single invites listeners into Kasbï’s inimitable cinematic soundscape where emotion and movement coexist in perfect harmony.

Born Sacha Kasbi, Kasbï grew up in a family where music was a constant presence. Surrounded by electronic music and funk from an early age, he began his musical journey on guitar before expanding to drums, percussion and keyboards, eventually finding his voice through electronic music production. Today, his productions are recognised for their organic character, ethnic influences and a melodic sensibility that balances dancefloor energy with emotional depth. 

Over the years, Kasbï has shared stages with internationally respected artists including MONOLINK, RÜFÜS DU SOL, BLOND:ISH, BOB SINCLAR and AMÉMÉ, while building a reputation as both a performer and curator. His schedule regularly takes him between destinations such as Ibiza, Saint Barthélemy, Saint Tropez and Mykonos, where he and his brother Giannnihost events and showcase the sounds emerging from their growing creative community. They also perform at Burning Man every year and are in charge of Artistic Direction for the iconic Y Knot Saloon Art Car camp.

While “Astral” places Kasbï firmly in the spotlight, it also reflects the wider vision of Blue Iris Records. Founded in 2022 by Kasbï and Giannni, the label was created as a home for their own productions and as a platform to champion artists whose music shares their commitment to authenticity, emotion and musicality. Giannni’s own story is deeply woven into the Blue Iris identity. Having discovered music through the drums at the age of nine, he developed his musical education digging through Paris record stores and building a collection rooted in groove and emotion. His early years performing vinyl-only sets helped shape a distinctive musical personality, one that today blends melodic house with influences drawn from travel, surfing and nature. As a producer and performer, Giannniincorporates live percussion into his sets and productions, bringing a human and organic dimension to electronic music. His commitment to authenticity and the use of real instruments has seen him perform alongside artists including Carlita, RÜFÜS DU SOL, Sasson, Ramyen and BLOND:ISH, to name a few.

Looking beyond “Astral”, Blue Iris Records will maintain its momentum into the summer with its next release, “Ulu,” a collaborative production from Giannni & Kasbï, scheduled for release in August.
